About Cindy

I am currently a seventh and eighth grade teacher at Telesis Academy.  This is my 13th year teaching and have taught first, fourth, and sixth grades as well.  I am very passionate about literacy and books.  I teach in a low-socioeconomic, mostly Latino, community where reading is not a priority in most homes.  It is my goal to break this cycle and teach my students the habits of and tools used by lifelong readers.  I try to keep up with new releases in books as much as possible.

I also love being crafty.  Over the years I have dabbled in a variety of things from knitting to paper crafting.  I fell in love with paper crafting and am now obsessed with card making.  I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator just over a year ago.  I used to mix both book reviews and crafty things here on my blog, but decided to focus on just crafts and my Stampin' Up! business here.  I will continue to review books for now on Goodreads.

I am also a wife, mom to a beautiful 17 year old step-daughter and my amazing son, Ethan who will turn one in May.  And Jesus is my Savior.
