Thank you to the hosts of this Monday meme! Jen and Kellee over at www.teachmentortexts.com and Sheila over at http://bookjourney.wordpress.com/
It's been a slow start to reading this month. March is always busy for so many of us. But with report cards completed now and my sister-in-law's baby shower done, I will have a little more time to read. Still need to accomplish our Outdoor Science School meeting and parent conferences this month.
Here is what I read the past week and a half:
Loved the artwork in this book.
I thought this was a great tribute to our country. A must have for all libraries.
I loved this story! I thought this would pair nicely with:
How have you liked the Hush, Hush series?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear your thoughts about Requiem. There were aspects I loved and aspects I felt unsatisfied with.
Happy reading this week!
I love the Hush, Hush series! :) It's definite brain candy.
DeleteRegarding Requiem: You're making me nervous! I get frustrated when things aren't answered or unsatisfying with the conclusion of a series. :/ I will let you know my thoughts as I read it.
I'm so curious about Requiem, too! I know how frustrated I felt at the end of the Delirium and Pandemonium...but it was mostly because I desperately wanted to know more about what was going to happen to the characters. I listened to the audio of Dead End in Norvelt last year and I think that's what helped me get through it. It was nice to hear it come to life.
ReplyDeleteThe Henri Rousseau book has me thinking of the TV show Lost...I think one of the characters was named Rousseau and that there's a connection with Henri but I'm not entirely sure. I love picture book biographies either way and this one looks good!
Thanks for sharing!
