Clean & Simple Card Making 2: Days 7 & 8

Here are a couple of cards I created after learning from days 7 and 8 from www.onlinecardclasses.com.

This card was inspired by Cristina Kowalczyk's one layer card design.  One layer cards are not cards I create often, but I ended up liking the look of this one.  And it was quick to make, so I could produce quite a few in a jiffy.

With this card I tried out a technique that Jennifer McGuire taught.  She created her own DIY ink pad.  I don't have the supplies to create my own, but in my stash I happen to have a ColorBox ink pad that has a rainbow of colors so I was able to play around using that.  Jennifer showed how to emboss onto white cardstock using an embossing folder and then rubbing the inkpad over the raised image.  This card was also quick to throw together, and I love how I now have other uses for those embossing folders.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Beautiful cards, I especially like the one for Day 8, the inking on the embossed background turned out beautifully.
